Car Committee

CAR COMMITTEE

The Car Committee is the largest area of service in Hot August Nights. They deal directly with the cars and the car participants mostly out of doors at the various car events. Events specific to this Committee are the poker run, evening cruises in Reno, Sparks and the Grand Sierra Resort, mini show-n-shines, the big Saturday show-n-shine and the Grand Finale’ Sunday parade. During the year, Hot August Nights participates in local special community events. Car Committee Member Volunteers work with HAN in providing classic automobiles for parades and car displays and manpower at community events such as building the Hot August Nights float and providing staging manpower for the Sparks Hometown Christmas parade.

Well, time is marching and we have been busy. We have successfully planned, constructed, and dismantled a float for the Sparks Hometowne Christmas Parade. Yes, it was a big undertaking but so much fun I am already looking forward to next year. This project is open to ALL members. We hope more members will join us for the next one.

I hope you will plan to join us to plan and execute the 2008 Hot August Night event. There are several opportunities for fun projects between now and then as well. Listen for our meeting messages and watch your calendars for dates and times.

All meetings are held at the Hot August Nights office (1425 E. Greg St., Sparks, NV) at 5:30 pm.
